Client: Math and Stats Tutoring Centre - University of Toronto Scarborough
Brief: The MSLC magazine is a free, faculty-produced resource for UTSC Math and Stats students. In 2018, I was brought in by the program lead to implement a visual refresh (cover and internal art), updating the then austere and rigidly academic presentation, toward an end of better engage\ing with their student audience.
Notes: The goal was to introduce a more colourful, and dynamic visual style while not becoming too “youthful”, so as to become disengaging at the other extreme. The approach we landed upon was one that, along with other contributions from the team's writers and editors, improved its visibility and engagement dramatically.
